Dryer for turning

Thanks to its own drying technology, the company has realised many plants over the last 20 years. The technology is based upon a rotating reactor with indirect thermal exchange and is extremely versatile. It can be used in the metallurgical sector to purify and recover metal chips, as well as materials with a high melting point and mixed with water and organic material (oil, plastic, rubber…). Our technology, properly set up, has been implemented on industrial plants to recover energy from biomass and waste.

Briquetting presses

Briquetting press for brass and aluminium shavings

Shavings are very common in the field of waste and metal scrap recycling. They are often produced by machining tools or metal scrap separation, treatment and sorting. In such a scenario, it is essential to use a press which reduces shavings and machining non-ferrous metal scrap to small pellets (briquettes). Non-ferrous metal briquettes offer important advantages in terms of size reduction, logistics and transport. Thanks to this method, transport costs are evidently lower, while handling and storage are made easier, because the briquettes are solid and do not break. During melting, in fact, the briquette significantly increases its yield compared to shavings, because it easily sinks into the weld pool and does not leave any residue on the furnace walls. Moreover, its compact shape makes loading and unloading operations easier, reducing the time needed and saving energy. C.E.I. offers a press capable of producing up to 4 briquettes per minute. Pre-dried shavings are pressed at a compressive force reaching about 400 tonnes and turned into cylindrical briquettes, with a diameter of 14 cm and a height of 20 cm.
